Relative — Devnet Privacy Policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Devnet policies are subject to review. This policy covers Relative’s experimental devnet release. Test assets do not make the personal information used during testing anonymous or exempt from privacy protection.

1. Who is responsible

Variance Labs Ltd, a private company limited by shares incorporated in Nigeria, RC 8384457, is responsible for the personal-data processing described here. This policy covers the Relative website, application, APIs and supporting services at getrelative.trade and its service subdomains.

For privacy questions or requests, contact support@getrelative.trade, with “Privacy” in the subject line.

Independent wallets, blockchain networks, faucets and linked websites operate under their own policies. This notice explains our processing and that of providers acting for us; it does not claim control over every participant in a public network.

2. Information used by Relative

InformationSource and purpose
Public wallet address and networkYour wallet or a request you submit; used to connect the application, identify positions and prepare transactions.
Requests, positions, balances and transaction historyYour submitted instructions, the public blockchain and our records; used to show activity, relay signed transactions, track execution and reconcile results. Records may include amounts, selected classes, signatures, fees, timestamps and status.
Connection and diagnostic informationYour browser and our infrastructure; IP addresses, request times, requested routes, response codes, browser information and error details may be processed to deliver the service, limit abuse and diagnose problems.
Interface preferencesBrowser storage used to remember choices such as navigation layout and wallet selection.
Support messagesInformation you choose to email or otherwise send us, including contact details, feedback and attachments; used to respond and investigate reported problems.
Operational recordsOur services generate publication, transaction-submission and security records. These may reference public wallet or request identifiers when needed to operate and investigate the system.

A wallet address can become personal information when linked to an identifiable person. We may associate a support request or technical event with the wallet involved in that request. Do not assume that using a wallet makes your activity anonymous.

We do not need your seed phrase or private keys. Do not send them to us. Wallet signing takes place through your wallet provider. The devnet trading flow does not require you to provide a passport, bank account or payment-card details. If a future feature requires additional information, we will explain it separately before collection.

3. Purposes and legal grounds

We use information to deliver wallet-connected features, prepare and relay user-approved transactions, display execution results, answer support requests, secure the service and investigate errors. Processing necessary to provide a service you request is based on performing our agreement with you or taking steps at your request before that agreement.

For proportionate security, abuse prevention, diagnostics and service improvement, we rely on legitimate interests where your interests and rights do not override them. We process information to meet applicable legal obligations when those obligations require it. Where optional processing requires consent, we ask separately and provide a way to withdraw it. Merely reading this policy or connecting a wallet is not consent to unrelated tracking or marketing.

Under this devnet policy, we do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. We will not introduce a materially different use without updating this notice and establishing the appropriate legal ground first.

4. Public blockchain information

Submitting a blockchain transaction can publish your wallet address, transaction signature, instructions, amounts and related account activity. Anyone may inspect, copy, analyse or combine that information with other sources. Relative also displays public trading and publication records through its interface and APIs.

Disconnecting your wallet does not remove that history. We cannot erase records held by independent validators, explorers or other people. Devnet may reset, but you should not rely on a reset to remove copies others have retained.

This limitation does not remove our obligations concerning personal information in systems we control. A request to delete off-chain support or service records will be assessed separately from information already published on a blockchain. Avoid including personal messages, contact details or other unnecessary identifying information in transaction data.

5. Providers and other disclosures

We use infrastructure providers to host the application, operate APIs, store operational records, secure traffic and communicate with Solana. Depending on the component used, these include Google Cloud, Cloudflare, Vercel, Helius and Ankr, as well as public Solana RPC infrastructure. Providers may receive connection information, wallet identifiers or transaction data needed to handle a request. A provider’s role and separate obligations depend on the service and applicable agreement.

Your selected wallet receives the connection and signing requests you approve. A faucet or other external service you visit may collect information directly from you. Review its policy before using it.

We may disclose necessary information to professional advisers, or to authorities where a lawful obligation requires it. Where law permits disclosure to investigate abuse, protect people or establish or defend legal claims, we limit it to what is necessary and proportionate. Information may transfer in a genuine business reorganisation or acquisition, subject to applicable protections and notice requirements. Other disclosures require a suitable legal basis, including your consent where appropriate.

6. Browser storage and optional tracking

Relative uses local browser storage for functional preferences. Hosting, security and wallet providers may also use technologies necessary to provide the features you request. You can clear browser storage or change browser settings, although some preferences or features may stop working.

Optional analytics, advertising trackers and session recording are not authorised merely by these Terms or this policy. If introduced, we will explain their providers and purposes and obtain prior consent where required. Refusing optional tracking will not itself prevent access to the core trading functions.

7. International processing

Variance Labs is based in Nigeria, and its infrastructure providers operate internationally. Information may be processed outside Nigeria, including in the United States and European regions, depending on the service and deployment location.

Where a transfer requires safeguards under applicable law, we must establish an appropriate transfer basis, such as an applicable adequacy determination or valid contractual protections, before making that transfer. We do not treat acceptance of this policy as blanket consent to international transfers. Contact support@getrelative.trade for details of the safeguards relevant to your information and copies where available, subject to necessary redactions.

8. Retention

We retain personal information for the purpose for which it is needed, rather than simply because storage is available. Transaction-submission records support status tracking and reconciliation; diagnostic records support investigation and security; correspondence supports your request and any resulting dispute. Public publication records also support verification of the experiment.

Retention depends on the purpose, whether an investigation or dispute remains open, applicable legal requirements, and whether the purpose can be met with less identifying information. Once no longer needed, information in our control should be deleted or anonymised. Backup copies may remain until their normal replacement cycle and should not be restored for unrelated use. A legal preservation requirement may extend retention for the records concerned.

Public blockchain copies held independently are outside our deletion controls. We do not apply that exception automatically to our own off-chain records. You may ask us for the retention criteria applicable to a specific category.

9. Security and incidents

Our safeguards include restricted infrastructure access and separation of user-wallet signing from operator signing. We seek to limit access to information to people and providers who need it. No network, wallet or application is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that an incident will never occur.

If you suspect a privacy or security incident, contact support@getrelative.trade without sending secret keys. We will assess incidents and notify affected people and the appropriate authorities where required by law. These obligations are not waived because the product is on devnet.

10. Your rights

Depending on applicable law and the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an explanation of our processing. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent for processing based on consent, and exercise applicable rights concerning solely automated decisions that significantly affect you. Withdrawal does not undo processing that was lawful beforehand.

Send requests to support@getrelative.trade. We may need proportionate evidence that a request concerns your information, for example a fresh, clearly explained wallet-ownership message that does not authorise a transaction. We will never require your seed phrase, private key or a payment to verify ownership. We will explain any lawful restriction on a request and respond within applicable statutory periods.

Rate limits and transaction-validation rules operate automatically. Contact us if you believe a service restriction was applied incorrectly. Reviewing a restriction does not allow us to reverse an already completed blockchain transaction.

You may complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or another competent supervisory authority. You do not have to contact us first or give up any other legal remedy.

11. Children

Relative is intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly invite children to submit personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can assess and remove information in our control where appropriate, subject to legal requirements. We cannot remove independently held blockchain copies.

12. Updates

These devnet policies are subject to review as Relative develops. We will publish the current version and identify material changes through the Services. If a change requires new consent or another legal step, updating this page alone will not satisfy that requirement. A future production release will need a notice reflecting its actual processing.
